Visas

Short-term visa
A short-term visa is valid for a maximum of 90 days during a 180-day period. You can apply for a short-term visa at the appropriate office representing the Czech Republic in your country – for Belarusian citizens, this is the Czech Embassy in Minsk. Visa forms are available on the website of the Embassy.
There is no electronic system for managing consular meetings. The address of the visa centre of the Embassy and information on opening hours can be found on the Embassy's website. Clients can visit the centre during opening hours, but telephone appointments are preferred.

Long-term visa
A long-term visa is valid for 90 days to one year. You can apply for a long-term visa at the Czech Embassy in Minsk. Decisions on granting long-term visas are made by the Czech Ministry of Interior.
Residence permits

Long-term residence permit
A long-term residence permit is valid for at least one year. You can apply for a long-term visa at the Czech Embassy in Minsk. Decisions on granting long-term residence permits are made by the Czech Ministry of Interio.

Permanent residence permit
You can apply for a permanent residence permit only after a continuous stay of five years in the Czech Republic. You must pass a Czech language exam with the result proving at least an A1 level of proficiency. Once you acquire a permanent residence permit, you no longer require a work permit and you are allowed to benefit from various forms of state social financial support. An application for a permanent residence permit must be submitted to the Embassy unless otherwise specified. The 'diplomatic list' which provides a list of embassies together with their addresses can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
